Oh god! This is just amazing, Step! In before I remix this one to electro house if you still remember, lol. Anyways, I really like the changes I hear and they are wonderful. You probably don't know how much I love this! <3 This is just so good. I like how it starts slow and then slowly goes to an action packed theme.
Also, I found some small clipping around 1:57-2:06. If you listen closely you will hear.

But very good work, Step!! :D

OH, you're RalaiyX3! You changed your name. I WAS WONDERING WHERE YOU WENT.

Yep, one of the main things I wanted to change from the original is the progression. I wanted it to feel like it progresses properly to the climax, rather than coming in out of the blue like it did in the original.

I think that might be because the Flutes VST was in beta so there were a few audio glitches that needed ironing out. I tried to avoid the glitches but I guess I couldn't get all of them. Now that you've mentioned it I hear it too. Ah well, at least it doesn't really detract from the experience much!

Thanks a lot man - glad you liked it! I have used the 8dio Studio Solo Violin combined with the Violin from EWQL Gypsy and Alicias Keys from NI (usually i dont use this piano for classical stuff, but for low volume stuff combined with some reverb it works very well - also for cinematic piano stuff).

To be honest, I am not a big fan of bigroom and how they make it. But this made me change my mind totally; there ARE ofcourse good bigroom producers and you are one of 'em. (I may have told you earlier ... >_< ) Anyways, I cannot believe you are underrated like this.

So... I like the chord lead. A very good one! I agree with the guy below me, the buildup snares need more 'punch'.
I do like the drop. A bit calm unlike most bigroom songs but super neat. I also like your use of reverb and delay in most of your drops. (:

Good mixing and very well produced, Timo. Can't wait for the full one!

Thanks man! :) im not a bigroom fanboy either as per this month.. the scene is getting waayyy to commercial for my own taste and im actually hearing it back in my own music..

and btw.. isnt most 'good' music underrated? with the scene of today... all the cash/income comes from the commercial crap 'they' call music. were is the feels man. the feels.

This intro was sooo good or even epic if you may say, but then 1:23 ruined the song. I am sorry but that electro part did not fit with the intro. Firstly I do not like it, and second, it turned out to be a different song in my opinion. You can better keep the rock elements in the drop part at 1:23.

The title suggests that this is an overture, which is a musical piece that is used as introduction to something more substantial, by definition, and to address key points of that substance prior to their extended compositions.

I'm sorry you didn't like it, and perhaps it's because it's hard for you to listen to it in the fashion that it is intended for without the music that is to follow, but this is simply an introduction piece and demo, nothing more.

Wow. That voice is amazing! The only thing I did not like was the pitch going up at 0:34. It doesn't fit in this song, in my opinion. Nevertheless it was an amazing piece of work.

[Sleepless]

The start of the song made me already think it would be a good one and... I was NOT disappointed! Really... I love those synths and they sound great with a neat melody! I think the melody has a bit away from some sort of anime music. And very good ending with a reverse sound. Fits well!

All in all awesome work again Dutty!

Oh and if you haven't seen yet, the NGADM auditions began. Maybe you should post this one but it's up to you. (:

Yeah that's what I thought with the anime style melody! It made me think of the kind of music you hear in visual novels and chill moments in anime.

Oh really? the NGADM is running again this year? that's cool! I'm not sure if I'll enter or not this year. Even if I do I'd probably submit something else as my audition this is just something I did for fun, I don't think it demonstrates the best of my abilities though.

Hm misschien wel lullig om te zeggen, maar de kick clipt werkelijk een héél klein beetje. Echt een beetje (goed te horen in het begin). Voor de rest geweldige sounds, vooral die string sound zoals op 0:42, hoe heb je dat gemaakt? :o maarja mooi nummer man. Deze style van jou is echt een geschenk om naar te luisteren!

ja die clipping hoor ik indd ook. dat is gekomen nadat ik de mids en low mids heb verhoogt aangezien die kerel hieronder dat zei. (het miste wat mids, en imo miste het ook low mids)
dus moet ik dat ff weer recht trekke bij alleen de kickdrum. Tof dat je het wel vet vind! :)
die pitch synth op 0.42 is een sample die ik bij toeval in een effecten sample pack vond lol. die heb ik gepitched/gestretched zodat ie op dezelfde KEY zou liggen als de track volgens mij was de standaard KEY een E ofzo nou deze track is een A#, en daarna wat basis effecten over de sample heen gedaan. en voila.
