Nice man vooral rond 0:18-1:10. (:

Voluto responds:

Dankje! Ben nog een beetje aan het experimenteren haha :)

Holy crapp! What a beatiful and clean mixed song is this. May be one of my favorite song at this moment now. The thick pluck sounds are truly amazing. I've always loved those in (chill) songs sorta like this. The melody also sounds really catchy to me! I love the panflute sound, it's like the one from Nexus, idk. Anyways, what a wonderful song man. Keep up! (:

It's a real shame any promo would ignore this. I would have not, but I don't run any so yeah...
And I know dude. It's hard to get well known these days and especially with original work since a lot of people tend to stay at the generic part of electro. You'd deserve a release on a big label, imo!

Maezo responds:

Wow huge thanks Aeron! Good ear too, that is the panflute from Nexus! :P

Oww wow! Didn't expect this! So beautiful. Loving the percussion. Really smooth.
The piano bits in the background are wonderful!! Super good mixing though.
Maybe a little thing what I would have done is giving the clap more reverb in the high frequentions. But that's just me.
Magnificent work dude! Keep up! :D

Indigorain responds:

Aww crap, didn't think about the reverb frequencies! Thanks for that tip, that's really something I can work with! And thanks for the kind words, I still have lots of issues with mixing and volume levels, so that's nice to hear!

Nice groove ther m8. Op 0:40.... natuurlijk Ghostbusters haha. Ik vind de stereo van de drumkick wel raar klinken door m'n koptelefoon. :)

Voluto responds:

Dankje m8! Ik gebruikte stereo enhancer.. Misschien niet moeten doen hahaha

Hm not bad. I really dislike the guitars that are panned in my left ear in the intro and later in the song (like at 0:20), quite annoying there. Overall it is somewhat enjoyable but not catchy. Liking the soothing synths!
The only thing I'd recommend is to center the guitars, and mixing them stereo-ish.
Mastering is good, maybe a boost in the high frequentions would make it sound more crisp. Mix feels kinda muddy tho. The structure of the song is actually fine! As I said it IS enjoyable!
I could imagine hearing this in a Supermeat boy level. (:
Keep it up dude!

RyeGuyHead responds:

The panning is definitely a bit off on this one, especially with the guitars.

I'm not sure if you've every used Reason before, but the "rack view" allows you to manually setup all the patching/wiring yourself. This file is old, and I had no idea what I was doing when I started it...so the wiring is all out of whack. I fixed the brass, but I must've missed the guitar. Thanks for pointing that out! (edit - and I just realized the synth bass towards the middle is the same way...)

Super Meat Boy, eh? Nothing wrong with that :D

Hahah met welke DAW heb je dit gemaakt?
Grappig nummer lol :D

Voluto responds:

Dankje! Ik heb het met Fl gemaakt, alle geluiden komen van Sampletank 3, geweldige VST!

Oh shit forgot to comment on this beautiful piece of work, Step! Still using it as background music for Age of Empires 2 HD (:
The composition in this one is amazing. I love how strong the sound is in the 'busy' parts.
The atmosphere is so damn great and, oh man, the instruments are very crisp, the song is super clean! But I think you wanted to emulate to storm a bit too much, the low distortion at 3:06 is quite harsh.
I don't know why but that strange delayed sound in the end sounds really attractive.
The intro is 10/10 and so is the outro. I fuckin love this song, Stephan, this is pro work. :D

Step responds:

Hey man! So glad you like it, and that you use it as a soundtrack for AoE haha. I suck at that game.

3:06... I agree entirely. Every time I listen back to this track and get to that part, I wonder why I made it so loud and distorted. It sounds really ugly. Good point!

I'm very happy with the intro and outro in this track. I had them in mind before I even began composing a note of this track. I knew exactly how I wanted to start it and end it, and I'm glad it worked out as well as it did.

Thank you!

That's some soothing tune you got there. Quite relaxing. I pretty much like it.
A lot of the drums are really clean in the mix but I seem to hear a soft kick with delay effect in the background around 3:45 - 4:30, right? I don't think it's a nice addition to the drums. I don't like it, it sounds like something random is ticking.
Also, I think that you would need more bass for the small sidechain you have in here.
The synths are truly amazing in this one. I like how chill they sound.

Good work dude. Keep on working with these tunes! (:

Alph4TG responds:

Thanks for the feedback! Relaxed was definitely my goal for this one, glad you liked it. As amazing as the synths may be, in all honesty they're extremely simple. In fact, the first one you hear as soon as the songs starts (with the delay) is just 2 sin waves stacked on top of each other.

Not bad. It seems that the kick is a little bit clipping in the mix. Overall beautiful atmosphere.

AeroMusic responds:

cheers man -last minute I was like shit I haven't sidechained the kick so I just did some last minute compressing nd didn't really check it too much

Wow! This is amazing work. Those voices are yours? Fits really well :O
I also love to notice clipping, even if it is a little bit. You can hear some in your right ear at 1:15-1:18.
Anyways, you should really finish this one! The atmosphere is just wonderful and everything sounds so clean.

headphoamz responds:

Thank you! Still working and yes, I noticed that too. Appreciate it <3
